I want to meet my people’s health needs!

Dear Jami and Rajeev, Jill, Sarina, & Corin,

Mary was born and raised in the larger Mbita region of Kenya. She is married and has served her community as a Health Worker since 1992. She is passionate about teaching and counseling within her area. She is a trained teacher and over the years she has served as the chairperson of the local church, Secretary to Mbita Community Health Workers, and also as a committee member to various development initiatives.

Mary has spent most her life time around Mbita, even though she appreciates traveling and singing at a local choir. She believes in working hard towards meeting the needs of her community. When asked why she is a Community Health Worker, she responds, “Malaria is one of the deadly diseases that disrupt life in my village, I want to get knowledge to help my people deal with it. I want to meet my people’s health needs.”

Your support for Mary provides an opportunity for her to impact this community. She currently serves over 120 households through MED25’s Community Health Workers (CHW) outreach services. Thank you for ensuring that Mary takes care of herself, her family, and her village for the next month through your generous donation.
