Eunice is treated for Anemia!

Eunice came into the clinic not realizing how sick she truly was. Unable to complete her work in her family’s farm, Eunice was concerned that something was wrong with her or her baby. Thanks to your help, Eunice received the blood tests and treatment she needed for anemia as part of her antenatal care kit.

Each kit includes a mosquito net to sleep under, water treatment drops to provide clean water for her entire pregnancy, a laboratory test for ongoing evaluations of maternal health, and medications including malaria prophylaxis, deworming, ferrous sulfate and folic acid. In addition, mothers visit the Med25 clinic each month during their pregnancy to receive maternal education and check ups from clinic professionals.

Eunice was so thankful to receive the necessary medications and blood tests to help her feel better today. She was also very excited for the education and preventative measures she was given to help keep her and her baby safe during the next four months of her pregnancy.  Here is Eunice learning about warning signs for anemia from the MED25 nurse, Erick.
