Catherine grew up in a fishing community located along Lake Victoria, Kenya. Like many other individuals from communities like hers, Catherine was not able to finish school because her family needed her to begin working at an early age to feed the family. After marrying and starting her own family, Catherine continued was fortunate to continue her education on her own accord when she encountered a group that was training women to become Community Health Workers.
Catherine has lost many family members to malaria and wanted to help educate others on how to prevent such illnesses. Catherine volunteered as a community health worker for years and was overjoyed to join MED25 International, whom equipped her with materials to better serve her community.
By sponsoring Catherine, you have given her the tools she needs to serve 549 households, which equates to more than 3,200 individuals impacted by your gift alone. Thank you so much for your generosity!
