Benter brings healthcare to her community!

Benter has been a community health worker for 15 years and is a true go-getter. When MED25 first began evaluating the need for a clinic in Mbita, Benter did everything she could to show MED25 the reality of the health of members of her community. Without access to simple drugs to care for treatable illnesses, Benter wasn’t going to quite until her community had access to what the deserved- the human right to access health care.

Benter was born and raised in the Mbita area and says she has lost far too many ‘good souls’ to illnesses that shouldn’t have taken lives. Resources simply weren’t available in this community. Benter would do what she could to bring doctors and nurses to her community to help on days off, but it wasn’t enough. When MED25 came to this community, Benter wanted to join the team right away. She fights hard for her community and personally follows up with each patient after receiving treatment from the clinic.
