Christine is married and expecting her first child. This antenatal care kit resembles more than just care for her and her child – Christine is the first woman in her family to receive antenatal care. For generations, individuals in this community simply haven’t had access to health care until 2010 when MED25 opened a clinic. With your gift, Christine now has everything she needs to care for herself and her unborn child throughout her pregnancy.
Each antenatal care kit includes a mosquito net to sleep under, water treatment drops to provide clean water for her entire pregnancy, a laboratory test for ongoing evaluations of maternal health, and medications including malaria prophylaxis, deworming, ferrous sulfate and folic acid. In addition, mothers visit the Med25 clinic each month during their pregnancy to receive maternal education and check ups from clinic professionals.
Christine is overjoyed by your support and wanted to share her gratitude with you: “I really appreciate the efforts that this donor is making towards improving our lives, particularly by providing us with these antenatal kits. Thank you.” Thank you for helping us provide health care to this community, one mother at a time!
