Siprose learns about a healthy pregnancy!

Siprose and her husband Raphael are expecting their first child. Working as a seamstress in town, she heard about the MED25 Clinic through several of her pregnant clients. Siprose’s biggest concern was being judged for not knowing how to care for herself and her baby throughout her pregnancy. When she came to the clinic, she was pleasantly surprised that not only did she receive an antenatal care kit, but that she received needed health information and was able to ask questions without feeling embarrassed for not knowing all the answers.

Each kit includes a mosquito net to sleep under, water treatment drops to provide clean water for her entire pregnancy, a laboratory test for ongoing evaluations of maternal health, and medications including malaria prophylaxis, deworming, ferrous sulfate and folic acid. In addition, mothers visit the Med25 clinic each month during their pregnancy to receive maternal education and check ups from clinic professionals.

Thank you, Sterling and Melinda, for providing Siprose with much needed tools to help her throughout the rest of her pregnancy. She is now eager to return to the clinic for her future check ups and knows she can come by at any time to receive health education!
